ANNUAL HIGH FALLS GREEN-UP DAYS

TO CELEBRATE EARTH DAY 2016 (THEME: TREES FOR THE EARTH)

HIGH FALLS GREEN-UP DAYS – April 23rd and 30th

April 23, 2016: 9:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m.

Volunteer Roadside / Trailside Clean-up Events sponsored by the High Falls Civic Association.

Even just a couple of hours of your volunteer effort makes a difference! Please wear sturdy waterproof shoes and work gloves for either of these events.

April 23: Clean Up to Green-up Event April 23: Meet at 9am at the intersection of 2nd Street and Route 213 (near Depuy Canal House) to register and pick up supplies (map, trash bags, etc).

Manna Jo Green, our Ulster county legislator, will welcome the volunteers. Samantha Epstein, Invasive Species Program Coordinator of Hudson River Sloop Clearwater will be there throughout the day to instruct interested volunteers in the removal of invasive plants.

The first 20 volunteers to register will receive a FREE limited edition “High Falls — Center of the Universe” T-shirt. Continental breakfast will be served. For more information, visit highfallscivic.org or call 845-687-3473.

Volunteer roadside / trailside planting event with native shrubs and tree seedlings sponsored by the High Falls Civic Association with help from Ulster County Soil & Water Conservation District.
