Marbletown Preservation and Investment Commission (MPIC)

The Marbletown Preservation and Investment Commission is charged with implementing the town's law that allows it to borrow funds in order to preserve open space (that law is Local Law 2 of 2007 codified as Part 1, Chapter 3 of the Marbletown Town Code, found here:

http://www.ecode360.com/?custId=MA1321).

The Commission hopes to have the criteria for recommending property to be acquired completed by the end of summer 2010.  After that it will be the Commission's job to review applications, recommend them or not to the Town Board for funding, help find matching funds for purchases, and ensure that purchased land continues to be preserved.
