Welcome to the MT Planning and Zoning Department

The Planning and Zoning Department processes all requests for subdivisions, site plan approvals, variances, special permits and other planning and zoning matters. If you are interested in any of the above, your first step is to call, visit or e-mail the Planning and Zoning Secretary to obtain the necessary guidance and applications and, if need be, to be placed on the agenda of either the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Appeals.

The Planning and Zoning Department can also assist residents with maps, data and other information relevant to proposed projects. For the best service, please schedule an appointment with the Planning and Zoning Secretary.

The Planning Board covers subdivision applications and site plan approvals and meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, starting at 7:00 pm, at Town Hall. Applicants must apply in advance to be placed on the agenda.

The Zoning Board of Appeals covers variances and special use permits and meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month, starting at 7:00 pm, at Town Hall. Applicants must also apply in advance to be placed on the agenda.
