ATTENDANCE: Kathie Hikade, Diane Paulson, Steve Schneider, Sandy Damon Sheeley, Larry Skalla, Barbara Sickler, Maggie Whalen

OLD BUSINESS:  Sandy reported that the bid opening had taken place this past Wednesday and Miracle Playground Eqipment from Poughkeepsie had been the lone bidders for the project. The installation should be underway wihtin a month. Colors were discussed for the new equipment. The group agreed that earth tones would be the best choice for the park. A discussion took place on sand for the playground area. Sandy will check into purchasing better quality sand than is used on the beach.

Steve asked that in the future, it be stressed with parties using the park, that if picnic tables are moved, thay must be put back to where they were. Also, parties are to be reminded to put the garbage into the dumpster.

NEW BUSINESS:  The Youth Commission Office will sponsor a ScareCrow contest for October. The scarecrows will be displayed from Oct. 6 through Oct 20 over Arts Harvest Weekend. Letters have been sent to area businesses and individuals.
