Possible questions will be thought about over the next month and brought to the next meeting.,
An update was given on the baseball field repair issue. Sandy will ask the town board tomorrow night if they would allow the purchase of clay for the repair. This money is not in the current budget of the park. The cost if $1824 for two truck loads (24 tons each)

February 2005
Attendance: Those in attendance were, Kathie Hikade, Steve Schneider, Sandy Damon, and Barbara Sickler.
Old Business: The Commission revisited the topic of lining and paving the excess area at the park. It was decided that instead of lining the existing blacktop area, Steve would line with lime the excess area to mark the area for parking. Hopefully this will contain the cars in the designated area.
Concerns were voiced about all the parking that takes place on Tongore Road during the busy months. In the spring we will attempt to put a story in the Blue Stone Press stressing the danger of parking on the road. Along with this, the story will also include rates for using the park pavilion, swim lessons, and events & programs. Notification will also go out to soccer and little league groups making them aware of the dangers and asking them to address this with their coaches.
Maintenance was discussed for the new ball fields. In the spring, we will discuss the best way to approach the weed issue. (spraying, york rake, more clay)
NEW BUSINESS: Sandy reported that in the year 2006 the NYS Parks & Rec. annual Conference will be held at the Hudson Valley Resort. There are some very informative seminars at these conferences that we should take advantage of since the location is so close.
Beginning in the year 2006, the summer camp registration will be hell much earlier in the year, possibly as early as February. This helps out in the busy months of May and June.
Meeting was adjourned at 8pm.
SEPTEMBER 2004
ATTENDANCE: Kathie Hikade, Steve Schneider, Alison Sickler, Barbara Sickler, Sandy Damon Sheeley.
OLD BUSINESS: The Harvest Hayride was discussed. A meeting will be held the week before with the teens who volunteer to help at the hayride. Steve will talk to the wagon driver and arrange for pumpkins and bales.
NEW BUSINESS: The closing time of the park was discussed. There is a continuous problem with parties staying after the closing time of 8pm. It was decided that the closing time will remain 8pm. Private parties will not be allowed to stay after 8pm. Public events will be extended that privilege as long as arrangements have been made with the Youth Office. If the gate closer arrives at the park and a party is not ready to leave then they will be asked to move their cars outside the gate. The gate and bathrooms will be locked. If the party can not or will not do this and the gate keeper has to return at a later time, the sec. deposit will be kept by the town. This will be stressed to the user when they are filling out the use form. As of 2005, the security deposit will increase to $100.
Parking was also discussed. For next year, we will look into paving the excess parking area by the soccer shed. The cost for lining the lot will also be checked into. Hopefully by lining, more cars will fit in the existing area.
