Third Thursday Series Presents: Pollinators and their Native Plants

Thursday, November 17 th , 2022 at 6:30 pm

Best Choices for Native Plants in the Mid-Hudson Valley

What can native plants add to our properties that will sustain the greatest number of pollinators and support wildlife diversity? Pollinators depend on native plants to support their entire life cycles, not just to collect pollen. Many people aren’t aware of the ecological role plants play.

Flowers and shrubs from other continents may look great but serve no purpose in the environment. What plants are native to this area and where can you buy them?

On Thursday, November 17 th , 2022 at 6:30 pm, Native Landscape Designer Maya Goer Palenzuela will show us a wide range of native plants and how they interact with insects and pollinators, so that our gardens can contribute to the planet’s well-being and our own.

Pollinators and their Native Plants is a free, online Zoom talk sponsored by the Third Thursday Series.
