VOLUNTEERS WANTED for our Preservation and Investment Commission. The Commission's job is to review applications, recommend them or not to the Town Board for funding, help find matching funds for purchases, and ensure that purchased land continues to be preserved. The Marbletown Preservation and Investment Commission (MPIC) is charged with implementing the town's law that allows it to borrow funds in order to preserve open space (that law is Local Law 2 of 2007 codified as Part 1, Chapter 3 of the Marbletown Town Code, found here: Chapter 3: Agricultural, Clean Water and Open Space Preservation and Acquisition) https://www.ecode360.com/6364722
