Welcome to the Town of Marbletown, located in central Ulster County, NY. Nestled on the eastern edge of the Catskills and the northern edge of the Shawangunk Mountains, Marbletown covers 54.9 square miles and is bordered by Hurley, Olive, Rochester, New Paltz, and Rosendale. Known for its scenic landscape, mountain views, and farmland, Marbletown maintains a distinct rural charm. The town is steeped in architectural history, with four nationally registered historic districts. In the hamlets of High Falls and Stone Ridge, you’ll find historic homes, churches, restaurants, farm stands, shops, healthcare providers, a canal museum, library, and performing arts center.
Outdoor activities include the O&W Rail Trail, Marbletown Town Park, High Falls Creekwalk and Marbletown Meadows where residents enjoy organized sports, summer camps, a pavilion, playground, and the Esopus Creek. In High Falls, explore the Delaware and Hudson Canal's history along the Five Locks Walk. The Marbletown Community Center in Stone Ridge offers year-round programs for children, teens, adults, and seniors.
Marbletown is part of the Rondout Valley Central School District.The community is a mix of long-time locals and newly arrived weekenders, all encouraged to engage in local government and community activities. The town's five fire companies are staffed by volunteers, while the first aid unit is composed of paid professionals.
