Planning & Zoning Department

The Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals Department processes all requests for Lot Line Adjustments, Site Plan Approvals, Special Use Permits, Subdivisions, Area and Use Variances, Appeals of the CEO and other planning and zoning matters. If you are interested in any of the above, your first step is to fill out the Code Officer Review Form located on our website under Documents & Forms. 

The Planning and Zoning Department can also assist residents with maps, information regarding previously approved applications, data and information relevant to properties within the Town.

The Planning Board reviews Lot Line Adjustments/Deletions, Site Plan Approvals and Subdivisions. The Planning Board meets on Second Monday of every month at Town Hall, starting at 7:00pm and, if necessary, on the Third Thursday. Applicants must apply in advance to be placed on the agenda.

The Zoning Board of Appeals reviews Appeals, Area and Use Variances and Special Use Permits. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the Fourth Wednesday of every month, starting at 7:00pm, at Town Hall. Applicants must apply in advance to be placed on the agenda.

The cutoff date for new applications for either Board is two weeks prior to the scheduled meeting.
